PARK CITY, Utah (AP) -- The state education superintendent has granted the Park City School District an exemption for the days of school students missed due to swine flu worries.
Patti Harrington issued the four-day exemption on Wednesday. The state requires 180 days and 990 hours, and the district's elementary, middle and high schools meet the hours requirement.
The last day of school remains June 12. Harrington and Park City School District Superintendent Ray Timothy say students will be finished with required testing by then.
The district closed its schools on April 30 due to swine flu concerns. Park City High School resumed classes Wednesday and the district's remaining schools planned to start up again Thursday.
