SOUTH SALT LAKE -- A truck hauling pesticide spilled its load on Interstate 15 Thursday afternoon. It happened in southbound traffic near 2900 South.
The truck, which was carrying lawn care chemicals, crashed into another car and tipped onto its side. It only spilled a few gallons of chemicals but hazmat was called out as a precaution.
The Utah Highway Patrol says the backup did cause several other wrecks, one of which closed the ramp going from westbound Interstate 80 to southbound I-15 for a short time.
