SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- About $1 million in stimulus money will go to repairs and upgrades to three Salt Lake City Housing Authority properties that house low-income seniors.
The upgrades to Romney Plaza, City Plaza and Phillips Plaza will include items like new boilers, paint and the installation of energy-efficient appliances and windows.
The housing authority also is undertaking two new projects for low-income seniors. One is an $11.9 million three-story, 95-unit building. The other project will contain 70 units.
There are already about 330 public housing units for seniors in Salt Lake City.
