TRENTON, Utah (AP) -- About 500 acres of important wildlife habitat will be protected from development under a conservation agreement.

The deal was made between the Bridgerland Audubon Society and Rocky Mountain Power.

The power company owns the land along the Bear River near Trenton but the Audubon Society will manage it.

Richard Mueller, a board member with the Audubon chapter in Bridgerland, says his group will work to improve wildlife habitat in the area and fight noxious weeds. He's also hoping to provide more public access to the property.
