(KSL News) Seven candidates for State Legislature have been disqualified. They didn't file their financial disclosure forms by this past Tuesday's deadline.
Today, a judge hears appeals from Republican Robert Miles of Ogden and Jonathan Storrs of Salt Lake City.
Both candidates say they had trouble filing their forms online at the election's web site.
All of the candidates were running against strong incumbents.
Other than Miles and Storr, four ran as third party candidates and one as a Democrat.
Under law, any candidate who misses the deadline is automatically removed from the ballot.
