Lehi -- The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will be closing 2300 West in both directions for a month beginning Thursday, March 26 as part of the Pioneer Crossing Project.
2300 West, also known as Saratoga Road, will be closed at approximately 1000 South for the installation of water, sewer and storm drains.
The closure is scheduled to end Friday, April 24.
Pedestrian access will also be closed due to the depth of the trenches.
According to UDOT, through traffic will be detoured along 1900 South to 500 West to 700 South.
Other north/south routes are available for those traveling near the construction zone.
This work is being done for the new Pioneer Crossing project, which is creating a new east/west corridor from Redwood Road in Saratoga Springs to the Interstate 15 interchange at American Fork Main Street.
The east/west portion of the project is scheduled to be opened in late 2009.
