SALT LAKE COUNTY -- Plea deals are in the works for four people charged in connection with a brutal beating death.

Fonua Kimoana, Tuusao Adele Ama, Ooleanui Kaina Salanoa, and Pailate Lomu appeared in court yesterday in Salt Lake County; all waived their right to a preliminary hearing.

Lawyers for the four said they are reviewing offers put forth by prosecutors that could spare them sentences of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The four are accused of beating Jay Wolfinjer to death last October over an unpaid drug debt.
