SALT LAKE CITY -- Sen. John McCain unleashed a withering attack on President Obama for a spending bill that contains thousands of pet projects sought by lawmakers.

McCain has singled out a few projects for special scorn, including $475,000 in federal money for parking structure in Provo proposed by Utah Sen. Bob Bennett.

Provo's mayor is eager to have the new parking garage and believes it will attract developers to Provo's downtown.

Freshman Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz represents the Provo area and spoke about the project on Monday night's Talking Point.
