(KSL News) A man is in jail this morning after pointing a gun at another man.
Several people were outside their apartment complex at 264 S. 1540 West when Jose Gonzales allegedly approached them and pulled a gun.
Police have conflicting stories, but one witness says Gonzales accused the other of not wearing the right colors. Another report says the man was aggressively staring at Gonzales.
Gonzales ran into his apartment when officers arrived.
Police tried several time to contact him and were ready to ram the door. Eventually Gonzales came out.
Lt. Craig Gleason, Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "Man with gun calls are quite common, but often we don't find the person we're looking for. This time we did."
Police recovered the gun in the apartment bathroom and arrested Gonzales. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a weapon.
