(KSL News) A man tried to outrun police, but officers aren't sure why.
West Valley police tried to pull the man over for a traffic violation just before 2 a.m., but he took off. A short chase followed, and he eventually stopped his car and took off running near 4100 West and 4700 South.
Police used a K-9 unit to find him hiding in a carport a few blocks away. They're now trying to figure out why he was running. The suspect's name was not immediately released.
