(KSL News) -- Two men are in jail today thanks to a quick thinking victim.

Robbers entered a Provo couple's apartment near 750 S. 650 West, and pistol-whipped the husband inside. The woman escaped the scene, and made her way to a nearby police station. One of the men tried to run when officers arrived, but was unsuccessful.

Sgt. Bud Walker/Provo Police Dept.: "This is a success story where the victims have actually come to the officer who was only 100 feet away, and we were able to capture a fairly violent person."
