LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Gary Wilkinson scored 16 points and Tyler Newbold had 13 points, seven rebounds and a crucial steal at the end as No. 25 Utah State held off Louisiana Tech 60-52 on Saturday to extend the Aggies' winning streak to 18 in a row.

The Aggies let a 17-point lead slip to four, but stopped several rallies by the Bulldogs down the stretch. Newbold finally clinched it for Utah State (23-1, 11-1 Western Athletic Conference) in the final minute when he made two free throws with 26 seconds left to put the Aggies up 58-52, then made a steal and added two more foul shots to put the game out of reach.

Kyle Gibson scored 14 to lead the Bulldogs (9-15, 3-8), who went scoreless for the first six minutes of the second half but were still a threat until the final 30 seconds.
