PROVO, Utah (AP) -- A company that planned to build a $58 million aircraft maintenance center in Provo is likely delaying its plans.
Lincoln, Neb.-based Duncan Aviation says it is still planning to have a presence in Provo in the next two years but that timing and construction plans are likely to change.
Lori Johnson, Duncan's marketing communications manager, says the company is working on a contingency plan for the project, which was scheduled to be completed by August 2010.
Jason Perry, executive director of the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development, says the delay is due to the bad economy but that the company is still committed to the project.
When it made the expansion announcement in October, the company said it envisioned a payroll of 650 in Provo within 15 years.
