(KSL News) A federal grand jury returned a 22-count indictment against the so-called "bearded bandits."
Kenneth Wayne Zinda (Sandoval), 39, and John William Pacheco, 31, were indicted on multiple counts of armed bank robbery, business robberies and use of a firearm during crimes of violence in connection with a series of robberies in the Salt Lake City area between Sept. 16, 2008, and Jan. 17, 2009.
The indictment charges Zinda and Pacheco with eight armed bank robberies:

These robberies carry the potential penalty of 25 years per count.
The pair is also charged with three Hobbs Act (business) robberies with the potential penalty of up to 20 years per count:

Zinda and Pacheco also are charged with 11 counts of carrying a firearm during a violent crime.
They were arrested without incident as they were leaving a Murray residence on Jan. 18, following the Sam's Magazines and Video robbery.
They will be arraigned on the indictment on Friday.
