LAYTON, Utah (AP) -- Police say an S-U-V rolled over an 18-month-old girl --- making her the third Davis County toddler to die in less than a month.
Police say Avery Zaugg died on Saturday in Layton. Police say a 22-month-old boy, inside the Suburban, apparently put the vehicle in gear.
Officers say a man had apparently left the boy inside the vehicle while taking in some groceries to his in-laws' home.
Authorities are calling the incident an unfortunate tragedy.
Last month, 17-month-old Ethan Burke drowned in a backyard pond in West Bountiful while his grandmother was taking the trash out and checking the mail. And 18-month-old Abbigale Wentz of Clearfield also died last month after she got tangled in a window cord at a babysitter's home in Layton.
