(KSL News) The University of Utah Marching Band is a step closer to a trip to President-elect Barack Obama's Inaugural Parade.

University officials tell us they continue to receive donations and have now raised about half of the $150,000 they think they will need.

Zions Bank has established a donation account for those interested in donating funds to support the University of Utah Marching Band's trip to Washington, D.C.

Donations will be accepted at any Zions Bank location. No account number is required to make the deposit; donors may simply mention the University of Utah's Marching Band fund.
