SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The number of existing homes and condominiums sold in November in Salt Lake County has hit a 13-year low.
A Salt Lake Board of Realtors report shows the number of sales fell by 38 percent from the same month last year, from 924 units to 575 units. The last time home sales were lower was in November 1995, when 444 units were sold.
November sales this year also were down significantly from October, when 838 homes or condos sold.
The board of realtors also says that December has been a slow month for sales as people wait for the housing market to drop lower.
While the number of homes sold last month fell, they went for more money than a year ago. The median price of homes sold in November was $229,900, compared to $221,300 in November of last year.
