(KSL News) Summit County search and rescue teams have recovered the body of a 15-year-old boy who was caught in an avalanche this afternoon.
The teen was snowmobiling in the Windy Ridge/Moffitt Basin area just after 4 p.m. when he was swept up in the slide.
Search and rescue was notified and immediately began searching for him. Crews located his body shortly before 6 p.m.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into the incident. The teen's identity has not been released pending notification of family.
