THE FUN HOUSE — When you were a kid, did you ever talk to your friends about what your future house would have?
I remember as kids, my friends and I didn't understand limitations like money and space. We looked forward to the day when we could build our own houses, and they were going to be amazing.
Mine would have a drinking fountain — drinking fountains in houses back then seemed like the height of boujee to me — a dance studio, a library, and a movie theater.
Then I grew up, and my dream house became much simpler — a kitchen with enough space for more than one person to move around, a master bedroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a backyard bigger than 0.10 acres. And with house prices nowadays, that is pretty dang good.
Well, one guy apparently made his childhood dreams a reality, according to this video.
It has a rope/zip line type thingie that a person can use to get from upstairs to downstairs, Tarzan-style (seems like kind of a safety hazard). Secret and hidden doors galore, including one that looks like a soda vending machine and leads into a disco room/hallway. A "Blockbuster" video room. More hazards, like a door that opens from the bottom up, and a floor that opens into a foam pit. A glow-in-the-dark drawing room. And that just grazes the surface of this Dr. Seuss-esque house.
If you could add anything to your house — and money, time, and space weren't an issue — what would your house look like? Let us know in the comments.
