DUGWAY — A semitruck transporting Tesla auto parts rolled over on I-80 westbound and caught fire, causing the interstate to close near Skull Valley.

According to Utah Highway Patrol, the truck driver overcorrected while traveling along I-80 and rolled over.

The driver had "bumps and bruises" but no serious injuries, according to UHP Sgt. Andy Battenfield.

The Tooele County Fire Department responded to the scene along with UHP.

The interstate is closed near Exit 84 on I-80 westbound, and drivers are encouraged to exit the interstate at Exit 84, Battenfield said.

Drivers should expect I-80 to be closed at this location for the next "couple of hours," according to the UHP.
