THE PUMPKIN PATCH — After years of people gutting innocent pumpkins nationwide for the annual pumpkin pie feasts, the pumpkins have started to revolt.

Police officers are called upon to stand against the most feared and dangerous members of society. But nothing prepared them for the onslaught of a gigantic rollover by an inflated pumpkin.

Bystanders stood no chance before the ultimate UNO reverse card when a pumpkin gobbled up an Ohio police officer.

The immensity of the gourd prevented a police dashcam from capturing the full extent of the carnage.

Gigantic rolling pumpkins are known to reach an impressive and frightening 50 pounds. Truly, it was an unstoppable air-filled orange fruit.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries from the massive jack-o'-lantern, except for the pride of the police officer who lost the initial battle with this festive winter squash.

There is a great pumpkin after all. And it's taking over our streets.
