VERNON, Tooele County — One man is dead and another man is in serious condition following a UTV rollover in Tooele County on Tuesday, the Tooele County Sheriff's Office said.
On a dirt road west of the Vernon Reservoir, two men were riding a utility terrain vehicle when it rolled, Sgt. Scott Caldwell with the sheriff's office said.
Tooele dispatch received the call about the rollover at about 6:30 p.m.
One man, 53, was ejected from the UTV and it landed on top of him. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Caldwell said.
A second man, 65, was not thrown from the UTV, but climbed out and flagged for help, the sheriff's office said. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital in serious condition, said Caldwell.
The cause of the rollover remains under investigation.
