SANDY — Sandy police and officers from the Utah Transit Authority are looking for a man believed to have broken dozens of window panes at a high school and a TRAX station over the weekend.

Sandy Police Sgt. Greg Moffitt said early Saturday, someone broke windows at the TRAX station at 115 E. Sego Lily Drive (10000 South). The same man is believed to have then walked over to nearby Jordan High School and use a hammer to break several windows at the driver's ed tower.

Then, early Sunday, police believe the same man returned to the high school and used a hammer to break several windows on the main building. A spokesman with the Canyons School District says a total of 32 window panes were broken. The total damage estimate was not immediately available Tuesday.

Detectives are using surveillance videos to try and identify the man, who police do not believe is associated with the school.

Anyone with information can call police at 801-568-7200 or 801-799-3000.
