THE GRIDIRON — If you follow the NFL, you've probably heard plenty of chatter about the so-called "tush push." This version of the quarterback sneak features players lined up behind the quarterback, who then push him forward once the ball has been snapped. The Eagles in particular have been using this controversial play with devastating efficiency.

So why is it controversial? Well, some teams simply hate it because it's so hard to defend. But on a more substantial level, it has been tied to a rise in injuries. The NFL is considering a ban, though it remains to be seen whether it will happen.

In the meantime, there is apparently a way to stop the tush push in its tracks — all you need is a high-flying linebacker who is a master at anticipating snap counts. Check out this incredible video.

The clip was posted by Chase McDonald, defensive coordinator at Lumberton High School, in Texas. Coach McDonald must've been mighty proud watching his linebacker leap over the defensive line, soar over the unsuspecting center and then throw the quarterback to the ground like a rag doll.

He also knows this defensive marvel comes at a poignant time, as he captioned the video, "Hey, @NFL this is how you stop the 'Tush Push.'"
