MICHIGAN — There's almost nothing better than enjoying an August storm from the comfort of your home — watching the rain and lightning through the kitchen window or from the cover of a front porch or patio.
The only thing that could improve the experience is catching a perfect lightning strike on camera.
A driver in Michigan recently did just that, capturing a bolt of lightning in the center of their dashcam as it struck a highway overpass just down the road.
"We were traveling through Michigan during a summer thunderstorm," the driver says in the video caption. "My girlfriend was in the car in front of me and lightning struck the bridge as she passed under it."
Utah's monsoonal storms could continue into next month, meaning there's still time to catch some lightning in a bottle — or on camera.
