THE STREET — There are snacks, and then there are irresistible snacks.
This holds true for both humans and our fine four-legged friends.
Many dogs will give Snausages and Milk-Bones a chance, but sometimes those dried bits of meat-flavored biscuits just aren't good enough. Sometimes, people food is the only thing to satisfy a snack craving
You may be thinking that a dog will beg for some freshly cooked meat and not much else. But even that is not always the pinnacle of snack desire.
For Murphy, a very snack-hungry golden retriever, the snack that he apparently wants is hamburger buns — and he's proven he will commit crimes to get them.
Murphy was in a parking lot of a Trader Joe's when he snuffled out that a stranger had the forbidden buns in his grocery bag. Presumably without hesitation, Murphy stuck his face in the bag to steal the buns.
The precocious pup was definitely caught in the act, but that doesn't mean this good boy isn't going to fight tooth and nail for his treat.
This short clip is the aftermath of Murphy's attempted theft, which leads to a tug-of-war between the stranger and Murphy. As the pair fight to each hold their ground, Murphy's person is trying to pry open the dog's mouth, but Murphy is determined to get his forbidden treat.
Sadly, the video ends before we get to see who wins the tug of war. But happily, the clip is fully entertaining for 23 seconds.
Whatever the outcome, Murphy is still the bestest boy and deserves a treat, including at least one nibble of a hamburger bun.
