SAND HOLLOW STATE PARK — Sand Hollow Reservoir was the scene of two separate water rescues on Monday evening.

Utah State Parks Lt. Regan Wilson said the first incident happened around 6:45 p.m. in a popular area where people jump from rocks into the water.

"An individual fell off the jumping rocks and was underwater for approximately three or four minutes," Wilson told St. George News on Monday night.

Family members were able to dive down an estimated 15-18 feet to reach the man and pull him up to the surface, Wilson added, noting that the man had fallen into the water from a height of approximately 25 feet.
