BEFORE THE ERAS — Before Taylor Swift reached international pop-star fame, she was a young girl who dreamed of hosting Saturday Night Live.

That dream came true in 2009 when the 19-year-old country-singer-turned-pop-star hosted the show and showcased one of her best known skills — songwriting. For her monologue, Swift sings about all the things she's not going to talk about in her monologue, including her then-ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas, her possible connection to a werewolf from "Twilight" and Kanye West interrupting her at the VMAs.

Swift fulfills many revenge fantasies and the picture of teenage angst by directly calling out her ex-boyfriend who notoriously broke up with her in a record 27-second phone call. Jonas and Swift have since reconciled their differences and "Swifties" of the internet delight in English actress Sophie Turner, Jonas's wife, being a huge fan of Swift.

Swift has gone on to appear on Saturday Night Live a number of times since her 2009 appearance, growing up with an audience that listened to her music. Swift and her fame has skyrocketed over the years, with the singer now on a critically-acclaimed tour, showcasing songs from each of her albums.

Each performance contains surprise songs in the set-list, and some Swifties would be delighted for fan-base favorites like the "Monologue Song" to appear.
