WINTER WONDERLAND — As another month of winter starts, many of us are thinking the same thing — it's cold outside.

A few days ago, I found myself looking for a weather chart to see when average highs are expected to be back around 50 or 60 degrees and I what I saw did not bring the hope I was seeking.

The really cold temperatures in Utah this week and the thought of another month of winter made this St. Louis reporter's thoughts about a cold and foggy day in February six years ago seem relatable and hilarious.

"Something great happened here, but it's over with; that's the way February is," Kevin Killeen says in the following video.

I could not help but chuckle as he talks about how people are walking, an abandoned umbrella, trees and February holidays.

"This looks like a place where people who are being punished are sent," he said.

Killeen did have a few good things to say about February — primarily that it doesn't pretend to be something it isn't.

"It's bleak, it's honest and it just tells you the way it really is," he said.

If we're going to be irritable and hunkered over a bowl of chili this month, like Killeen said, at least we can be honest about it. I hope laughs at this video can help warm up your day.
