BRAZIL — My sister is one of the toughest people I know. When she moved last summer, she single-handedly carried a full-size fridge up the steps and into the house. When she eats a pineapple, she's eats it whole, like an apple, and doesn't even bother cutting the peel off.
Yeah, she's pretty hardcore. But like all larger-than-life characters, she has a weakness ... and that weakness is ants. My sister can't stand the sight of even a single ant. For some reason, those tiny critters give her the heebie-jeebies.
So, if you're reading this, dear sister, stop now. Because this video will probably give you nightmares.
If you're not scared of ants, you might find this video quite interesting. In order to help the colony get where it needs to go, thousands of ants have turned themselves into a bridge. And this selfless act seems to be working beautifully.
Come to think of it, maybe if my sister saw how altruistic ants can be, she wouldn't fear them anymore. I'm going to send her this link ASAP.
