Randall Jeppeson reporting
br> The cold, wet weather is doing more than just giving us a taste of what's to come. It's also drastically cutting down on the number of West Nile-carrying mosquitoes.
Walking along the streets of Utah, you may not see the mosquitoes. But Utah County Mosquito Abatement director Robert Mower says there are till some around. "Particularly two species that are kind of nasty day biters," he says.
Utah County was by far hit harder by West Nile this summer than any other county in the state, and they're now hiring another full-time mosquito abatement employee so they can work all winter long, to be ready to start fighting off West Nile again next spring.
