THE GREAT OUTDOORS—It's always amazing to see large animals such as a moose go swimming. How they can stay afloat with those bulky antlers and long, gangly legs is beyond me.

But even cooler than seeing a moose meandering past you in the water is the sight of an entire family traveling in a convoy. Check out this video from Colorado:

They stay so close together during their swim, it makes me wonder if there's a strategy to the proximity. Are they drafting off each other? Helping each other stay warm?

"On September 16, while hiking with my father in the Indian Peaks Wilderness of Colorado, four moose jumped into Isabelle Lake on the other side," explains the video's caption. "They swam across the whole lake, climbed out on our side, and galloped off down the hiking trail, to the delight of dozens of hikers."

I've never been to the Indian Peaks Wilderness, but I think I need to go sometime. Watching a moose family swim across a lake just took a spot on my wildlife bucket list.
