THE FOREST — Here's how I imagine this whole elk fight went down. First, a notoriously ornery bull starting picking on the new bull that had just moved into the neighborhood. He referred to the new bull as "Velvet" and made fun of its out-of-town accent.

The new bull took all this in stride until the first bull made an ill-advised comment about its mother. That clearly crossed the line, so the new bull shouted, "Meet me at the trail camera in 15 minutes!"

All the other animals excitedly made their way to the forest glen where the camera was mounted. A local buck served as emcee, telling some jokes to warm up the crowd and finally announcing that two combatants were approaching. Then the buck bounded off into the trees to watch the action.

Here's the video footage of what transpired:

As you can see, the brawl was short and sweet. The new buck used superior strength and technique to send the bully trotting away in defeat.

We have no idea what happened next because the video footage ends. But my guess is that the bully was never seen again. And, as for the new bull, he established a peaceful empire where all animals were welcome and disagreements are settled with words, not fighting.
