(KSL News) Utah Sen, Bob Bennett is worried about the strain the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama will put on police in Washington, D.C.
Bennett is specifically concerned with the fact that bars in the district will be allowed to stay open until 5 a.m. during the week of the ceremony.
He and California Sen. Diane Feinstein are asking the D.C. city council to reverse its decision, saying bars being allowed to stay open that late will strain law enforcement resources that will be needed elsewhere.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports the council has not replied to the Senators' request.
