SOUTH JORDAN — A crash involving a school bus on the Mountain View Corridor has resulted in the death of a woman.

About 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, a bus from the Jordan School District was heading south on the Mountain View Corridor when a Honda CRV ran a red light at the intersection of Lake Avenue, near 11200 South, said South Jordan Police Lt. Matt Pennington.

The Honda was T-boned by the bus, he said. The 62-year-old woman driving the Honda was killed. The driver of the bus was not injured and there were no children on board at the time, Pennington said. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

The southbound lanes of the Mountain View Corridor were expected to be closed for several hours between South Jordan Parkway and Daybreak Parkway as detectives investigate the crash.
