Man killed in 3-car Kaysville crash on Thursday identified

KAYSVILLE — One person died after a three-car crash in Kaysville on Thursday afternoon, police said.

The crash took place about 5:15 p.m. near 480 N. Fairfield Road, according to a news release from the Kaysville Police Department.

One person, Kaysville resident Zachary Shumway, 24, died at the crash scene, police said. Two others were taken to hospitals, one in an ambulance and one in a medical helicopter.

"Kaysville Police would like to express their sincere condolences at this time to the families of everyone involved," the news release said.

Further details about the crash weren't released.
