SALT LAKE CITY — Utah's number of COVID-19 cases has increased by 447 on Saturday, with one death and 31,000 more vaccinations reported, according to the Utah Department of Health.
The rolling seven-day average number of positive cases per day is now at 406, according to the health department. The positive test rate per day for that time period reported with the "people over people" method is now 6.8%. The positive test rate per day seven-day average calculated with the "test over test" method is now 3.4%.
There are now 132 COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Utah, including 44 in intensive care, state data shows. About 65.4% of all intensive care unit hospital beds in Utah are occupied as of Saturday, including about 69.3% of ICU beds in the state's 16 referral hospitals, according to the health department. About 52.8% of non-ICU hospital beds in Utah are now occupied.
A total of 1,481,363 vaccine doses have been administered in the state, up from 1,450,263 Friday. A total of 965,521 Utahns have now received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 558,700 are now fully vaccinated. A total of 1,714,390 vaccine doses have now been delivered to Utah, state data shows.
Of the 2,405,866 people tested for COVID-19 in Utah so far, 16.1% have tested positive for COVID-19. The number of total tests conducted since the pandemic began increased to 4,281,474, up 12,801 since Friday.
The single death reported Saturday was a Utah County man between 65-84 years old. He died in the hospital.
Saturday's totals give Utah 386,997 total confirmed cases, with 15,593 total hospitalizations and 2,132 total deaths from the disease.
