MAGNA — A motorcycle crash in Magna left a man in critical condition early Saturday morning, officials said.

Unified police detective Kevin Mallory said the crash occurred about 12:43 a.m. near 8050 West and 2700 South. The rider was 27 years old and was not wearing a helmet at the time, Mallory said. No other vehicles were involved.

"We're not sure what caused the crash at this point," Mallory said.

The rider was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
