SALT LAKE CITY — A woman who served 10 years in federal prison for drug distribution has been arrested again in a large narcotics bust, according to police.
Breanne Wells, 36, of Ogden, was arrested Thursday by the Weber Morgan Narcotics Strike Force and booked into the Weber County Jail for investigation of three felony counts of drug possession with intent to distribute, child endangerment, marijuana possession and two misdemeanor counts of drug possession with intent to distribute.
Investigators received information on Wednesday that Wells “was going to be delivering a large amount of narcotics to an undisclosed location in Ogden,” according to a police affidavit.
After locating Wells in her car with her 3-year-old child in the back seat, strike force members found large amounts of methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine, as well as marijuana, miscellaneous pills, THC cartridges, and several bags of THC edibles in the vehicle, the affidavit states. Wells allegedly told officers they would find more drugs in the hotel room where she was staying.
At the hotel, officers reported finding a safe with more drugs in it. Strike force members then went to Wells’ home in Ogden and found even more drugs in her bedroom, according to the affidavit.
When interviewed by officers, Wells said she had recently traveled to San Diego to pick up 10 pounds of meth, police said.
“Breanne admitted that she had been selling drugs for approximately four months and had come to Ogden to drop off/sell a large amount of meth,” the affidavit states. “Breanne admitted that she sells drugs and flies to San Diego after selling them to pick up more, acquires a rental vehicle and drives them back to Utah. Breanne also has an extensive history of selling narcotics and has recently done 10 years in federal prison for selling drugs.”
