PROVO — A Provo woman has been charged with helping facilitate two 13-year-old children to have sex with each other.

Sarah Helco, 49, was charged Wednesday in 4th District Court with two counts of child abuse, a third-degree felony.

The two young teenagers engaged in intercourse in January and June, according to charging documents. Helco “was facilitating the sexual relationship by warning the two” when another adult would be home.

Helco also sent one of the children an explicit text message encouraging sexual activity, the charges state. When the father of one of the teens found out, he called police.
