MILLCREEK — A Salt Lake man was arrested Sunday after police say he pistol-whipped a man before pointing his gun at two other people.

Police say Kevin Henry Knox, 28, got into a fight with a 23-year-old man near 3800 South and 700 East on Sunday.

“During the altercation, the subject punched, strangled and pistol-whipped the victim numerous times,” according to a police affidavit.

Knox then got into his car and pointed a gun at the man as well as at a 44-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man, the affidavit states. Police located Knox at his apartment.

“The subject cleaned the blood off of the firearm and then hid the firearm in his apartment. I located the cleaning supplies and the firearm in the apartment,” police wrote in the report.

Knox was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault producing loss of consciousness, three counts of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, three counts of aggravated assault with a show of force, and two counts of obstructing justice.
