After months of talks, a store in the Layton Hills Mall is making some changes to avoid prosecution for indecency.

The Davis County Attorney's Office received several complaints about adult materials at Spencer's Gifts.

County Attorney Troy Rawlins said, "They questioned whether or not it actually crossed the legal line when it comes to minors."

Rawlins says the store has agreed to make some changes. "I hope that they err on the side of caution. I think they will, because if we believe that they are in violation of the statutes, we can and will prosecute. And I think that they know that," he said.

Rawlins wouldn't comment on what they'll do, but says Spencer's seems to be taking it seriously. He says if they do prosecute, they'll go after corporate headquarters in New Jersey, not the individual store.
