Orem police say they've arrested two thieves who were targeting people getting a pre-holiday workout.
According to Orem police Lt. Doug Edwards, the two young women were visiting gyms in Orem, but they weren't there for the free weights or the cycling. Instead, they'd look for lockers where people had stashed clothes and car keys but failed to lock the locker.
"This could so easily have been averted with probably a quarter that you drop into the locker," Edwards said.
Once they had car keys, they'd go to the parking lot and take whatever they wanted from the vehicles they could open.
Police were able to catch the ladies after one of them was busted shoplifting at a mall, and they found she had a number of driver licenses and credit cards taken from people at the gyms.
