(KSL News) -- Cases of pertussis, or whooping cough, are down in Salt Lake County for the first time in three years.
Health workers say they're excited about the decrease and credit a new awareness campaign with helping. But they say the true test is whether kids at school will start to spread whooping cough. So doctors are stressing prevention through vaccination.
Plus, teens and adults have access now to a new "T-dap" vaccine available at health clinics or the doctor's office.
