(KSL News) Thousands of American troops will be overseas for the holidays again this year, but for soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan the holiday season is getting brighter thanks to 20,000 stuffed stockings that are on their way.
For several months, "Operation Give" has been collecting the stockings from donors across the country.
Two containers bound for the troops in the Middle East left the group's Salt Lake warehouse this morning.
Founder of Operation Give Paul Holton said, "It's a great boost of morale. It's all part of how we support them and show them that we haven't forgotten them this time of year."
