LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Logan police are investigating the possibility of threats made against employees of the Cache County attorney's office.

Lt. Brad Franke says the investigation centers around statements made to employees and comments posted recently on a local newspaper Web site.

Franke says the statements did not target specific individuals but were related to some high-profile criminal cases.

Police contacted the Logan Herald Journal last week regarding reader comments to a Nov. 2 story about an FBI investigation of allegations into improprieties within the prosecutor's office.

Franke says the remarks in the anonymous post warranted a closer look.

Cache County Attorney George Daines declined to comment on the police investigation.
