(KSL News) Starbucks is giving a free cup of brewed coffee to anyone who asks for it. The promotion was going to be restricted to voters, but the company learned that some state election laws forbid that sort of offer. So, coffee is on the house to anyone who wants it at Starbucks.

Ben and Jerry's is offering a free scoop of ice cream to any who asks for it. It part of a "national party" to celebrate the election. You just need to come in between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and you get to pick the flavor.

It's the first time the owners of Ben and Jerry's has offered this during elections. Mitch Egbert, Ben and Jerry's in Salt Lake City, said, "They like to get people out. They love giving back to the community, and they really want people to vote."

And the band Wilco is releasing the song "I Shall be Released." They are letting people download it for free. They say they just want to get the message out that people need to vote. The get the song,click here .
