A new study establishes a link between sex on TV and teen pregnancies.
Teens who regularly watch shows like "Sex and the City" are twice as likely to get pregnant within three years as those who don't.
Anita Chandra is a behavioral scientist at the Rand Corporation. She said, "It's important to use some of this information to help teens filter the media messages they are getting on television and, in particular, help them think about the negative consequences of some of the sex that's portrayed on TV currently."
Critics say the study didn't address issues like self-esteem, family values and income.
