(KSL News) Some Utahns are already thinking ahead to Christmas. Volunteers today stuffed stockings and made presents for troops, children and women in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Piles of books, toys, hygiene kits, candy and a host of other items were put in stockings and boxes today by volunteers for Operation Give. Organizers say the items will go either to American troops for Christmas or to women and children in Iraq to help them earn a living.
Their goal is to collect 100,000 pounds of treats they'll ship during the holidays, thanks to a generous donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
