HOLLADAY — A 22-year-old man has died after a Wednesday morning rollover crash, police said.
The crash took place on Holladay Boulevard at the intersection of 5300 South, according to a tweet shortly before 8 a.m. from the City of Holladay.
Police identified the man later in the day as Sontiago Lobato, 22, of Taylorsville.
Lobato was driving south on Holladay Boulevard at a high speed, according to Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray. His car veered and almost hit another car that was heading north, and then rolled over, Gray said.

Lobato was the only person in the car, which was the only vehicle involved in the crash, Gray added. Witnesses reported that the man may have been driving about 60 miles per hour, she said.
Gray did not know if Lobato was wearing a seatbelt when he crashed. The road in the area was icy on Wednesday morning, she said.
Holladay Boulevard was closed for about 3 hours while police investigated the crash, but reopened shortly before 11 a.m.
